Unfinished business
We sure do love home improvement projects! Now that the weather is getting better, we're all about puttering outside and making our environment better. We may have to put up with the unfinishedness of it for awhile. But that's half the fun!
We went to Lowes yesterday and came home with a truck full of pavers. One side of the house gets very little sun and the grass barely grows over there, so we've decided to help it out and put stones there. We're going to stain these stones so they look more rustic and we're going to make them look flush and uniform. For now, we just plopped them down. We've asked Sophie to stand there and hold them in place. She's doing a great job so far!
I think it's funny that our fake sun is causing the plant to wilt. Wake up sun, wake up! Let your little light shine! We're going to put shade plants over there for obvious reasons. We'll see how this one does. Maybe it just has transplant shock.
Here's our other fun project. Mosaic! I love smashing tile. We've had this tile in the attic since we did the backsplash in the kitchen two years ago, and we're finally letting it live out its destiny. We had an old table frame, and Angela made the table top out of plywood and hardibacker board. She's crafty like that. So now we just have to finish smashing tile and masticking, and then we'll grout and seal. I'm so happy there is a Lowes across the street.
Home improvement projects are fun.
